I knew Peety Smooth for a minute while doing music in the city. He is an intrigrual part to how I perceive music and layers and samples. It just took awhile for us to consistently work together. There was one song I was a feature on that I recorded but never came to fruition. And being in a place of creation and realigning, I reached out to him to see how he was and also rekindle the creative passion we had. After some geniue discussion, we found a common place of creation and he shared some beat and ideas he had. These became songs I made, and sat on for over a year. The sound was organic, vulnerable, and genuine. But it became so free and pure to make, I decide if I was to release it I wanted it to be its own system, as well as make sure it was mixed and put together so top notch that the quality matched the engegy. This moved a couple loose tracks into a “passion project”. And every move, connection, piece, became an added element to making it become closer to fruition in its best form. From then, I used Peety’s art as well to create the energy, framework, and story. And the world helped me write the story itself.
