I never believed I deserved

All the good that can happen in a lifetime

Wrapped up in just a few short years

Much of the time, I was led to expect

The worst out of every achievement I aimed to reach

Now that this height is less daunting, I'm placed with a curse

More cruel than before

The shapes of my memory are all that remain

And life has shifted from the dark to a mist

My vision now blurry, I'm left with only my senses

And I pray that this time, it's enough
